Hi, I’m Slavik — a photographer living in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria since 2015. I photograph couples, families, pregnant women, proposals and solo travellers on holiday, all in natural light at places like the Maspalomas Dunes, Puerto de Mogán, Anfi del Mar and Las Palmas.
Sessions start at €200 for 90 minutes, with 100+ edited photos delivered in 3–5 days. You pay after the shoot. I speak English, Russian, Finnish, Estonian and Spanish.
I’m originally from Estonia and lived in Finland for over 15 years before moving to the island. I’ve been taking photos for more than 25 years — first on film, now digital — and I still take courses every year, because there’s always something new to learn about light.

Kids who won’t sit still are my favourite kind. We walk, chase waves, build sand castles — and I catch the real moments in between. Best at sunset, when the light is warm and the sand has cooled down.

Married at home and honeymooning on the island? Or got married here? Put the dress on one more time and we’ll go to the dunes, Anfi del Mar or El Confital at golden hour.
What do I photograph?
Mostly people. Couples on holiday, families with kids who won’t stand still, women in the last months of pregnancy, solo travellers, and professionals who need a new headshot.
My main work is portraits, maternity, couple shoots, families and post-wedding sessions. I also do sports and fitness shoots, and the occasional music or fashion project when the idea is good.
What I need from you before the shoot
Not much. Tell me who’s coming, roughly what kind of photos you’d like, and where you’re staying. I’ll suggest a location and a time that suits the light.
If you’re not sure what to wear, send me a message — I’ll give you a few ideas that work for the place we choose. On the day, you don’t need to know how to pose. I’ll guide you the whole way: where to stand, where to look, what to do with your hands.
After the session I go through every frame, choose the best ones and edit them by hand — colour, skin, distracting details in the background. The goal is that you look like yourself on a very good day.
Las Palmas and Gran Canaria
In Las Palmas, I like Las Canteras beach at sunset, the old streets of Vegueta, the gardens of Parque Doramas, and the stone walls around Castillo de la Luz.
In the south, there’s the heart-shaped island at Anfi del Mar, the Maspalomas Dunes, Meloneras promenade and the canals of Puerto de Mogán. Up north, Agaete has mountains behind the sea and coffee farms in the valley. The weather here lets us shoot outdoors almost every day of the year.
Where else can we shoot?
Anywhere on Gran Canaria — and I now also travel to Fuerteventura (Costa Calma) and Tenerife.

Photoshoot at Your Hotel
I often photograph guests at their hotels — Paradisus by Meliá, Anfi del Mar, Bull Hotels, RIU, Lopesan and Santa Catalina, a Royal Hideaway Hotel. Gardens, pool terraces and lobbies work well, and the beach is usually a short walk away.

What if we don’t know how to pose or what to wear?
Don’t worry — you don’t need any modelling experience. I’ll guide you throughout the photoshoot so the photos feel natural and relaxed. I can also help you choose clothing and colours that work well with your selected location.
How do I book a photoshoot?
The fastest way to book is to send me a message on WhatsApp with your travel dates, number of people and where you’ll be staying in Gran Canaria. We’ll choose the location and time together. Payment is made after the photoshoot by card or cash.

What’s the best time of day for a photoshoot in Gran Canaria?
The last 90 minutes before sunset. The light is soft and warm, and the sand is cooler. Sunrise also works at Maspalomas if you want the dunes almost empty.
